method lust reader Missy was RIGHT! (I had faith in you, Missy! I did, I did!) I was roaming mindlessly through Big Lots this weekend, and what did I stumble upon in the personal care aisle, but the non-method antibacterial gel, in the "method" bottle! She'd mentioned a few weeks ago how she'd also found this, and was going to look into it further. The brand name is Virx, and it's this big bottle (same size as method's spray cleaner, because it's in the same identical bottle!) of antibacterial gel in neon yellow (lemon) and green (aloe vera). BUT, the shocker is, the bottle is an exact copy of method's, right down to the square bottom, and the four embossed m's, one on each side of the bottom of the bottle! It does have a non-method white pump top.
I tried to find information on this brand, but came up empty online. Except for some business called Virx, Inc. located in, you guessed it, San Francisco! I have no idea if this is a coincidence or not, but Katherine Farkas, here's another one for you!

ViRx is an AIDS treatment clinic in San Fran. Maybe Method created this product for the clinic...it is anti-bacterial after all...just a thought.
GIRL! Have you started cleaning yet...Sarah is going to check EVERY corner, nook and cranny. And you'd better hide all those "other" candles.
Yeah, I don't think the Virx antibacterial gel and the Virx in San Fran are the same. I realized it was an AIDs clinic, and while it's possible method created this product for them, I doubt it. The packaging is really crude, and why not use the method brand name? Curious...
Oh, and Robert, what are you talking about? Cleaning the house? For the Charlotte detox pop-up store in-home parties?
Isn't Sarah doing a Method home party at your pad?
And where is all the gossip about the Marine Naturals line? We want pictures, scents and product lines. What can you dig up...we are almost out of our supply of Bloq moisturizer.
I'm trying, Robert! Trust me I'm trying! I'll see what I can get. I've had two method lusters SEE the products at the last detox pop-up, and neither of them remember any details (scents, name of product, lol) I would have been taking detailed photos and drawings of them, if I'd seen them! Just goes to show they probably have more of a life than I do. Ha ha!
ooh speaking of similar products, do we know anything about the men's skin care line at Target called "Every Man Jack?" I was wondering if this was a method offshoot, because the packaging text sounds a lot like method-speak, plus they are also located in SF. Which doesn't really mean much, but my curiosity was piqued...

Actually Every Man Jack is the creation of the former method VP for Marketing, Ritch Viola. So hence the major method similarity of styles. While I think EMJ has some hit or miss products, their signature scent post shave lotion rocks! I buy it all the time (that is until method makes their own, hint hint!) Rebecca, You can read more on Every Man Jack here.
AHA! You are SUCH a smarty. I just knew that if I asked here, you would know or know how to find out! Thanks Nathan!!
