+ Update! method has just announced the additional Orla Kiely scents will be white nectarine, honeysuckle and cloudburst!

+ Extra Update! Yay! It looks like (no, it doesn't look like, it is!) the new Orla Kiely tomato vine scent is also available in dish soap and spray cleaner, in the same manner as the pear ginger. I found these at a local Target this weekend (and promptly snatched them up!)

Long time no method dish n' dirt, right? Please forgive me, for I know not what I do. (Oh, if you only knew how true that statement was...) method's been kinda quiet since the holiday 2012 line hit shelves, but look who's waking up just in time for some early spring fun! First up we have blue poppy foaming hand wash (obviously another addition to their floral scented hand washes), as well as what I'm sure will be a new favorite of mine, fig + rhubarb. Whoa, boy! Fig is back, baby! And I can't wait!

Not wanting to be left out, a new member of the body wash family is also coming along for the ride! And you can call it "surfside". Mostly, because that's what method has called it. So that's kinda it's name, and it's always nice to call things by their actual names, right? Well, unless you wanted to give it a cute nickname, like soapy sally, or the sudsinator, or something like that? But why don't we just stick with surfside, ok? Anywho... (and I've got no actual proof of this, but I'd place a bet this new scent will be replacing magnolia. So just in case, you might want to stock up on some magnolia! And if I'm wrong, well, really, does that ever happen? Shhh, don't ask my boyfriend, he doesn't know nothin'!...)

Finally, look what I spied along with the now-on-clearance Orla Kiely fall line? A brand new spring line about to hit shelves! I'm not sure what other scents will obviously follow along, but there were three bottles of a new gel hand wash scent, tomato vine, sitting in front of me! And let me tell you the scent is ah-mazing! It was so fresh, and green and wow! I can't wait to see what other scents are included in the line up!

So there you have it! More items may be tagging along (and if I find out I'll let you know!), but you can purchase most of these online now (and I'm sure they'll be hitting Target stores soon!) Let method lust know if you eye anything new while you're out on a method hunt!

A couple online articles/blog posts, etc. have begun to show up mentioning that they've received a box from method cradling two of their new Orla Kiely products, a hand wash and dish soap! (You can read one post here on Apartment Therapy!) method does this from time to time for their advocates, as well as for PR promotion. So while I'm not sure if this is an advocate tada! this time out or not, I'm gonna start crossing my fingers and watching for a surprise in the mail! If you happen to get this sweet little package, let method lust know (and what you think of the new scents and packaging!)

A bit o' news here, a bit o' news there! It's a bit o' method news, everywhichwhere!

+ Some sad news. It looks like method is discontinuing their bathroom le scrub. I'm kinda shocked by this one, since there looks to be no update, or replacement on the horizon. Per method's Facebook page: "sorry to break the bad news, but yes, le scrub will be discontinued by the end of the year." Stock up now, before it's too late! Target has already put them on clearance.

+ I've seen a lot of complaints concerning two method products, and would like to hear your thoughts! Many users of the lemon verbena (or any of the anti-bac line of spray cleaners) find the updated formula scents to be way off, in fact, most say the lemon verbena smells like pee! Ouch! What have your experiences with these products been like? Do you like the new formula?

+ Complaint #2 happens to be over method's replacement for their lil bowl blu (in eucalyptus mint scent) to their new anti-bac toilet bowl cleaner (in spearmint scent.) I think most just don't like the new scent. It's another "what were you thinkin', method?" moment, since the rest of their bathroom line is in eucalyptus mint.

+ And a bit of great news, method has (pretty much) confirmed frosted fir is coming back, and will be one of their scent selections in hand wash for their holiday 2012 line! Pertaining to someone saying how much they lusted the scent, and wondering if it was still available, method replied: "it's great to hear you love frosted fir. it's a holiday scent, which means you might see it back on shelves in november. stay tuned."

+ Finally, I'm noticing most of the latest sneak peek announcements hitting Target shelves, from the Orla Kiely hand wash/dish soap/spray cleaner line (vanilla chai and pear ginger smell divine! Oddly enough, the bay leaf reminds me a lot of the spring sea salt + lime. Am I nuts?! Let me know!), to the spray fabric softener (which replaces their dryer sheets), as well as new smarty dish plus packets with rinse aids and extra cleaning power (for hard water, etc.) Have you picked any of these products up? sneak peek - orla kiely + method

 I got a secret for you! Fall is only two-ish and so months away! And living in North Carolina, I can't wait til it gets here! Seriously, Mother Nature can keep summer. It sucks. Major style. Like, it sucks words I can't even type on this blog or I'd get in trouble and have to go wash my mouth out with soap. But it would be method soap, so that wouldn't be so bad.

Anywho, along with fall comes method's new limited edition hand wash line! This time they collaborated with designer Orla Kiely to create their shrinkwrap bottle designs! You might remember she also recently had a line of exclusive items at your local Target stores!

Lusters will also be getting four new scents! These include bay leaf, vanilla chai, primrose, and pear ginger. (I'm really excited for the bay leaf and pear ginger!) All will be available in gel and foaming hand wash, and the pear ginger will also be available in dish soap and all-purpose cleaner!  

The new hand washes are already hitting store shelves at some Targets, but the actual date for release is mid-August. Special thanks to method luster Rhonda for giving me this tip!
