sneak peek - orla kiely + method

I got a secret for you! Fall is only two-ish and so months away! And living in North Carolina, I can't wait til it gets here! Seriously, Mother Nature can keep summer. It sucks. Major style. Like, it sucks words I can't even type on this blog or I'd get in trouble and have to go wash my mouth out with soap. But it would be method soap, so that wouldn't be so bad.

Anywho, along with fall comes method's new limited edition hand wash line! This time they collaborated with designer Orla Kiely to create their shrinkwrap bottle designs! You might remember she also recently had a line of exclusive items at your local Target stores!

Lusters will also be getting four new scents! These include bay leafvanilla chai, primrose, and pear ginger. (I'm really excited for the bay leaf and pear ginger!) All will be available in gel and foaming hand wash, and the pear ginger will also be available in dish soap and all-purpose cleaner!

The new hand washes are already hitting store shelves at some Targets, but the actual date for release is mid-August. Special thanks to method luster Rhonda for giving me this tip!

Are you excited? What do you think of the new fragrances?

first shots - lime + sea salt

method's new limited edition lime + sea salt line!

Wow! method luster Gary (who might be giving me a run for my money! Alright, dueling spray bottles at 12 noon, Gary! Cue the rolling dust bunnies across the wooden floor!) has found the new limited edition lime + sea salt method goodies at his local Target!

...well, found might be a tad incorrect. Rather, he didn't find them at the two Targets he visited, so he asked customer service, called the third Target, they went into the warehouse of the store and brought them out to him! They hadn't even hit store shelves yet! Wow, I might need to try that trick next time I head to Target!

So while you're waiting for the lime + sea salt fun to begin at your local store, check out the pics he took of his finds (thanks, Gary!) and you can read all the cute blurbs method put on the back of each bottle. Enjoy!

sneak peek - lime + sea salt and body washes

How about even more sneak peeks? Well, sure thing, method fanatics! First up, better shots of the new lime + sea salt limited edition all-purpose spray cleaner, dish soap and gel hand wash! You can read more about these beauties in the post below this one! And if that wasn't enough, more surprises will soon be hitting store shelves, including...

...new method moisturizing body washes (called pure naked) in olive leaf and white tea! Yes, it's true, method is bringing back two of their original body wash scents! At first I was ready to poo-poo the news with an ole' "Oh, those are just old products..." until I saw the photos and went "Whoa, they're back!" I'll miss almond flower (the third scent in this original moisturizing line) but I lusted the olive leaf like crazy, so I'm excited!

These should be hitting Target store shelves within the next month or so! Will you be picking these up? Excited some of your old favorite scents are returning to the body care line? (And special thanks to Gary for pointing me to the pics!)

hula time, method style!

Ah sneak peeks! I lust them, don't you? All the giddiness that you feel when you find out a new method product has just been discovered! It's kinda like Christmas morning every time one happens! Ok, well, maybe it's not that exciting, but it's really close! Maybe like when you go to your local coffee shop and they accidentally give you a size larger than you ordered, then say "Oops, my bad! You can have it anyway!" Yay! Wow, you know, there is a big difference between Christmas morning and getting extra coffee... hmm. So maybe somewhere inbetween those two things? What do you think? Oh oh, what? You don't frickin' care, you just want to know what the sneak peek is? Well, excuse me!

Over on method's official people against dirty blog, sandwiched inside a nice little post on a day in the life of Jeremy (who is lucky enough to work for method!) came this bit:

"...between emails and meetings, my time this morning is spent on finalizing the launch of our new limited edition lime and sea salt hand soap, dish wash, and all-purpose cleaner. what do you think? they look right at home on our tiki bar."

So, what do you think? Like the fun packaging? Will you be snapping up some lime + sea salt for yourself?

coming soon!

UPDATE +  In addition to the spray cleaner refills (see below), other items we'll be seeing early next year have been mentioned over on method's Facebook page:

travel bottle of method laundry detergent (sneak peek)

"Has method started making/selling travel packets of laundry detergent?" method's response: "Why yes it is! The eight load sample size will be available early spring."

+

Also look for method to replace their daily granite bottle with a new larger size (same as their spray cleaners.) They've recently done something similar with their wood for good daily cleaner (which I've just now realized they should have called daily wood! Oh those that get that joke, shouldn't. Ha!) Though at the moment the daily wood cleaner and the smaller wood for good surface cleaner still both exist. But as of now method has provided daily granite refills in full size bottle packaging (minus the spray nozzle) so it looks like method is simply reducing all the packaging and making it one (larger) bottle. Whew, did you get all of that?

+

And there is also a mention of improving their antibac spray cleaner scents (which many people complain about, primarily because the thyme oil, necessary for providing the natural antibacterial properties, also gives the products a very strong scent.)

"Love all of your stuff but just bought two of the lemon verbena products and the scent is awful!" method's response: "We're working on new scents for our antibac line that are much more nose-friendly. - stay tuned."

+

Great news for refill fans! According to a couple of posts over on method's Facebook page, it looks like all-purpose spray refills will be in our future!

"Does method make a refill for the all purpose cleaner?" method's response: "We will have an all-purpose refill available at the beginning of February. - stay tuned!"

and if that wasn't enough, they also mentioned it a bit earlier:

"Hi, awesome method team!  I was just wondering if you were planning to release method all purpose cleaner in refills?" method's response: "We're actually working on it! We should have a refill for our all-purpose cleaner on shelves in February."

Thoughts? (Share'em!)

method-a-go-go: sea minerals spray cleaner

If you happen to sea (insert groaning here!) any sea minerals all-purpose spray cleaner at your local stores, and you lust it, snatch some up and stash them away for a rainy day! Cause it's being discontinued (more than likely to make room for method's new white rosemary all-purpose spray scent!) - That is all. You are dismissed.

new goodies roundup!

Next time you're in Target, you might wanna make sure to grab a basket, cause method's new goodies are starting to pop up like baby bunnies in the spring time! So I thought now would be a grand ole' time to make sure all you lusters know what's hitting the shelves!

method is debuting the following rad items: hand wash in lemon mint (gel + foaming - limited edition), hibiscus flower (gel + foaming - limited edition), waterfall (foaming), clementine (gel - limited edition), and juicy pear (gel - limited edition.)

additional (non-hand wash items, cause that's a lot of hand wash to keep track of!) include: lemon mint dish soap (limited edition), clementine and cucumber dish soap pouch refills, water lily & aloe laundry detergent (Wholefoods exclusive), fresh air and free + clear laundry detergent refill pouches, orange zest antibac kitchen cleaning spray, orange zest antibac kitchen wipes, clementine all-purpose cleaning spray, and completely reformulated all-purpose spray cleaners in all fragrances (with new bottle packaging), including mint glass cleaner than can now also be used as an all-purpose cleaner (so if you lust mint you can use the glass cleaner to clean your entire house now! - Yes!) Whew! I think that's it!

All of these have now popped up at most of my local Targets. the hand washes are hit or miss at the moment (with the lemon mint and hibiscus flower gel hand washes yet to hit my stores.)

And can I just say without a doubt, the juicy pear hand wash is divine! It totally smells like fresh pear slices! Oh, it's great! method's holiday spiced pear scent is off the charts, but until they bring that back for us lusters (hint, hint method! Holiday 2011?) juicy pear will definitely not disappoint!

What are you most excited for? What goodies will you pick up first?

new debuts!

Spring is just around the corner (March 20th!) and true to fashion, method has begun sneaking out some great new products for us! And we all lust new method products, right? Take a look at the first two photos which feature method's spankin' new bottle design! You can view the new clementine scented all-purpose spray bottle here!

Their all-purpose sprays have also been reformulated with something they are calling powergreen technology, which helps the cleaners work even harder at naturally tackling stains and messes! And the glass cleaner is now a glass and surface cleaner. So you can use it all over your house, it's not just for glass anymore! (Mint scent everywhere? As the Kool-Aid man would say, Oh Yeah!)

Next up is a nifty new scent for their antibac line (oddly enough still in their old bottle design.) The new scent, which will be added to the lemon verbena kitchen line, is orange zest!

And finally, we have a-freakin-dorable new kids hand washes shaped like Mickey and Minnie Mouse heads (with official Disney logos on the bottle!) These will be available in lemonade and strawberry fizz scents! I'm not sure if these are Disney park products, or if they'll show up in stores; but they are available on method's online shop right this very minute (along with everything else I've mentioned here!)

And this is just the beginning, because in just a couple of weeks (mid-April) we'll also be seeing four, yes four, new limited edition hand wash scents hitting shelves (including lemon mint! Yes, you heard me right! And I've already announced another of the scents in a recent post here on method lust, so if you're a good little reader, you already know two of the four!) And speaking of limited edition scents, I noticed recently (this obviously passed me by) that their waterfall scent is now permanent (no more limited edition wording on the bottle!) Mandarin mango and waterfall are here to stay, while violet bloom and red currant are currantly currently still limited editions.

Are you excited for these new products? What will you snap up? (Cause it's all about the snap!)

sneak peek - clementine all-purpose spray

Take a look at method's newest all-purpose spray addition! - Clementine! (It's become a very popular scent! First dish soap, now spray cleaner, soon to be hand wash... no wait, I didn't say that last one. You've heard nothing from me! What? I can't hear you!...)

This also gives you a look at the newly designed spray cleaner bottles (which are starting to show up at some Targets!) You can even purchase the clementine spray cleaner right now on methodhome.com. Let method lust know when you start seeing the clementine hit your local store shelves!

spankin' new bottles!

Check out the great new bottle design method's all purpose cleaners will be sporting (the grapefruit cleaner in this photo!) They've had the squared off bottom bottles for years now, so I'm glad to see this new look! Thanks to method luster Jason for the photo!

And this photo was just sent in to me by lust reader Jeff! Thanks! (Take notice that the glass cleaner is now listed as glass + surface cleaner. Hmm!)

color me pink

Let's talk pink. I love me some pink! (Ok, in that way I'm a bit stereotypical, but hey, what can I say?) But I'm talking pink grapefruit all-surface method cleaner! Here's a quick, sweet review:

"Method All Purpose Pink Grapefruit Scented Cleaner is my new favorite. I can't get enough of it. I looked forward to cleaning kitchen cabinets, because of the soft scent and lack of sticky residue. This cleaner is worth trying. Whether you prefer the lavender scent or, my personal favorite, pink grapefruit, you'll love the fact that Method All Purpose Cleaner does a fantastic job on most surfaces without leaving a sticky buildup of cleaner.

All purpose solutions are my favorite types of cleaners. I'm busy and my time is valuable. A good all purpose cleaner saves time and energy. Method has made a wonderful all purpose cleaner that I will never hesitate to recommend to anyone and everyone.

I need an all purpose cleaner that can help on lots of different surfaces and clean multiple types of messes. Method's All Purpose Cleaner did a wonderful job in nearly every room and on the majority of washable surfaces in my home. In addition, when the surface was dry, running my hand across it revealed no residue to attract new dirt or make a sticky build up.

The fresh scent of pink grapefruit is quickly becoming one of my most favorite, combining a fresh energizing feeling with a hint of cleanliness and sanitary conditions. Without overpowering the senses, Method's Pink Grapefruit All Purpose Cleaner left every area of my home fresh and inviting.
- Sarah Aguirre"

You know, I have mixed thoughts on the Pink grapefruit scent. Mind you, I've never actually tried it, so I can't say too much. But every time I go to smell it in the store (which is a lot, cause, well, I sniff so much method product in Target they probably think I'm getting high off the stuff! Oh wait, I am! Yay, method!) But I'm expecting this burst of delicious citrus, and I never get it. In fact, it smells nothing like grapefruit to me. I've read both sides online, from people who love it (and those that have said they disliked the smell in the store, but when they used the product, loved the scent it left behind) to those that thought after using it, it did indeed smell nothing like grapefruit. But for some reason as of late, I've been wanting to give some sort of method pink grapefruit product a try! So I just might go for it! I'm needing some new hand wash anyway... What are your pink grapefruit thoughts? Lust it, or leave it?
