new goodies roundup!

Next time you're in Target, you might wanna make sure to grab a basket, cause method's new goodies are starting to pop up like baby bunnies in the spring time! So I thought now would be a grand ole' time to make sure all you lusters know what's hitting the shelves!

method is debuting the following rad items: hand wash in lemon mint (gel + foaming - limited edition), hibiscus flower (gel + foaming - limited edition), waterfall (foaming), clementine (gel - limited edition), and juicy pear (gel - limited edition.)

additional (non-hand wash items, cause that's a lot of hand wash to keep track of!) include: lemon mint dish soap (limited edition), clementine and cucumber dish soap pouch refills, water lily & aloe laundry detergent (Wholefoods exclusive), fresh air and free + clear laundry detergent refill pouches, orange zest antibac kitchen cleaning spray, orange zest antibac kitchen wipes, clementine all-purpose cleaning spray, and completely reformulated all-purpose spray cleaners in all fragrances (with new bottle packaging), including mint glass cleaner than can now also be used as an all-purpose cleaner (so if you lust mint you can use the glass cleaner to clean your entire house now! - Yes!) Whew! I think that's it!

All of these have now popped up at most of my local Targets. the hand washes are hit or miss at the moment (with the lemon mint and hibiscus flower gel hand washes yet to hit my stores.)

And can I just say without a doubt, the juicy pear hand wash is divine! It totally smells like fresh pear slices! Oh, it's great! method's holiday spiced pear scent is off the charts, but until they bring that back for us lusters (hint, hint method! Holiday 2011?) juicy pear will definitely not disappoint!

What are you most excited for? What goodies will you pick up first?

sneak peek - new hand washes

UPDATE Stopped by my local Targets tonight (of course I did!) and one of the three has started getting some of the new products in. Yay! They had the limited edition clementine hand wash, clementine all-purpose spray cleaner, dish soap refill pouches in clementine and cucumber, orange zest antibac kitchen spray cleaner, orange zest antibac wipes, and a surprise (method lusts surprising even me at times, when I see a product I had no clue was actually debuting!) - limited edition lemon mint dish soap! I immediately snatched up the dish soap, and will be on the lookout for the remaining limited edition hand washes! Have you found any of the new goodies? What are you looking forward to most?

PS - While the orange zest antibac still has that trademark Thymol scent, I think they might have hit on something great here. You can honestly smell the orange in there, and it really helps brighten up the total scent! I think it smells pretty great!

How about a little hand wash sneak peek? I knew you'd say yes! So check out our newest limited edition method friends about to hit Target shelves (start checking next week!) Above is new foaming hand wash in lemon mint, and gel hand washes in juicy pear, hibiscus flower and clementine! You can also check out the foaming hand wash in hibiscus flower and waterfall here! - These two scents in foaming are permanent!

One bit of curiousity is the fact that lemon mint is coming in foaming hand wash (I had heard it was going to be gel.) While hibiscus is also coming in gel (which I'd heard was only going to be foaming. Whew!) So who knows, maybe each of these scents will be appearing in both versions! (Which would be great, as I'm so excited for lemon mint, but personally not a foaming hand wash fan.) I guess we'll just have to wait til they hit shelves! Let method lust know via comments or email if you start seeing them at your local stores!

red is rad!

Word on high from method's latest Tweet is their limited edition hand wash scent, red currant, is here to stay! Asked on Twitter:

Q: " are you going to make currant a new scent?"
A: "{reply} yes it's becoming a permanent fixture! keep looking."

As you'll probably remember (unless you suffer from short term memory loss, in which case, I'm sorry. That must suck! I read once... wait, who are you again? Where am I?...) method did the same thing with their other limited edition scent, mandarin mango!

One possible thing to keep in mind is, at least for Target shoppers - Target as you know loves keeping the method products they carry streamlined. So as method continues to add new scents to their hand wash line, it's rather inevitable that old ones will be clearanced by Target (though method may continue to carry them on their online store!) So what are your thoughts? Stick with the old favorites, or roll out the new friends?

You can find method's other limited edition scents, waterfall and violet bloom, still hanging out on select Target store shelves! And I would make a bet we'll be seeing a new one before too long! (Let's hope it's sooner rather than later!)

clean sweeps

+ UPDATED Seems the method limited edition waterfall scented hand wash might not be so limited anymore. I took a stroll into my local Target today, and found two bottles of the waterfall hand wash on the shelf, except one of these bottles did not have limited edition written across it (which is what happened to their mandarin mango hand wash!) So while method hasn't made a formal announcement, it looks like waterfall might is now a regular hand wash scent that will stick around!

+ There seems to be some confusion about this next item, but a method advocate recently let me know she saw the tub + tile cleaner on clearance at Target a few weeks ago. I asked method, and they said that it was indeed not going away, but to enjoy the sale! So I figured there must have been some confusion, and it was just a sale price. But then I ran into a Target on my return home from vacation, and indeed, they did have the tub + tile on clearance! At the same time, my local Targets have not put it on clearance, but you know how all Targets work independently of one another. So perhaps only select Targets will now carry the tub + tile, method is revamping it in some manner, or hey, who just knows? My guess is the product is sticking around, but Target has discontinued carrying it. That's not official yet, but I'll keep you updated as I know more info!

+ Also on clearance at Target is method's new 25 load peony blossom laundry detergent. Looks like Target will probably only carry the 50 load bottles down the line, but right now they do still carry the 25 load fresh air bottle. So pick yourself up some clearance peony blossom and tub + tile while you can get the deals!

new new for you!

UPDATE Found it! During my usual Target jaunt (well, one of many many many... sigh!) I finally spied method's new limited edition waterfall hand wash! It is, as many lust readers have said, in with the main Target selection (dish cubes, all-surface cleaner, etc.) and NOT with the hand wash in the, well, hand wash area. method sorta likes to put their "top four" gel hand washes (pink grapefruit, lavender, cucumber and go naked) in with their big area product selection (now five, if you count waterfall!) They then put the remaining hand washes (sea minerals, waterflower, refresh mint, sweet water, the moisturizing line, etc.) on the hand wash aisles at Target. Should I draw you a map? Cause, really, I could. Oh how I could.

I gotta say, I love method's limited edition hand washes and hope they keep on keepin' on; but man, if I had to do a blind sniff test between their new waterfall and the sea minerals scents (which some readers have also said smell very similar) I'm not sure I'd be able to tell which one was which! I'm sorta surprised they chose a scent so very close to one they already carry. But I also know sea minerals appears to be a big hit for them, so perhaps they're trying to hook that customer base with some more similarly scented products.

You'll all definitely have to let me know if you agree or disagree on the scent similarity when you get a chance to try it out yourself (or hey, just do like I do, and sniff it in the stores! Man, I sniff so much stuff in the stores, I'm surprised Target hasn't pulled all the surveillance video together and made a mashup YouTube video of me sniffing method products! Ha ha! Oh but that's be so very sad. Let's hope that never comes to pass.)

+

Look and see! A brand new limited edition hand wash scent coming to a Target near you! - Waterfall (man does it look a lot like Sea Minerals! I'm really curious what the scent smells like!)

Let methodlust know if you spot new mr. blue on a shelf near you! (Wow, so much rhyme, so little time!) Waterfall will be available thru July (or so) according to method's latest Tweet!

clean sweeps

A couple of bippity-bops!

UPDATE Bought it! Lovin' the coconut cream + honey fragrance! And I can definitely tell they've upped the moisturizing properties in the hand wash. It's silky now! Give it a try!

+

Stumbled upon the new moisturizing hand wash today! Believe it or not I didn't pick any up. I'm totally planning on doing so, I just remembered I had a $1 off coupon laying around at home and so I'm holding off until I grab that! I think both scents are pretty wonderous! The coconut cream + honey smells like, well, coconut! And the cucumber + aloe smells really fresh and slightly green (perhaps even a bit floral to me, but just a touch.) Still no sign of the waterfall gel hand wash scent, though I am hearing from other method lusters that they've found it on Target's shelves! Reader Aaron says "It's a bit more "watery" smelling than the sea minerals, which I think is a bit more powdery (without being feminine)." Hmm...

+ Picked up the last three remaining lavender + lemongrass aroma pill refill packs in my area. Almost all the Targets around me are OUT of them, so while the purchase was painful ($20! - that first tier clearance price of 15% Target does is laughable) I didn't want to miss out on what MIGHT be my last chance! Sigh... (keeping fingers crossed.)

+ According to method, their new laundry detergent will hit Target stores by February 14th!
