sneak peek - dryer activated fabric softener

Looks like more method goodies from the brand spankin' fresh factory are hittin' shelves! method luster James (thanks, James!) sent me in this photo of their new dryer activated fabric softener! This is their new product that will replace the dryer sheets!

All you have to do is spray four shots of this baby into your dryer, and you're good to go! It states that it's just as effective at static control, and softness on your clothing as those old fashioned dryer sheets. And it comes in both fresh air and lavender lilac, which compliments the fabric softener you put in your washer! It's about time they started matching up their laundry product scents - for the longest time it was a set for the detergent, another set for the softener, and even another for the dryers sheets. That never made any sense to me. So, tada, they're solving that problem! And 100 loads!? Wow, that's a lot! Look for the price to be approximately $6.99.

Thoughts? Are you excited? Do you think this will be as big as their revolutionary laundry detergent? Let me know what you think, and if you spot these at your local Target, etc.!

psst-psst

Sounds like we've got some new goodies comin' around the corner soon! method's been making some hints on their official Facebook page over the last couple weeks! So far we've got:

+ a brand new version of smarty dish, featuring a re-size
+ a new dryer sheet product that will replace their current sheet line
+ and a relaunch for their hand sanitizer

They've been whispering about the new dryer sheet product for a while now. - Notice the word product. I wouldn't expect dryer sheets with this one, but rather something that would do the same job. Perhaps in the same style as Downy's dryer bar (but I'm not saying it'll be a bar. Unfortunately, I have no clue at the moment!)

People seem to have problems with the size of the smarty dish tabs fitting in their dish washer, so that's primarily why we're getting that. Otherwise I think they work great (and I don't have this size problem. Do you?)

And lastly, if they don't debut the hand sanitizer in a carry bottle my mind will be blown. Seriously, when do people use hand sanitizer the most. - On the go. (Mind you, I think hand sanitizer is n.a.s.t.y.)

+

What do you think? Excited for any of it? method has been awfully quiet for a long while (and so have you, oh great method lust one! I know, I know, my deepest apologies to all!) The last we've seen from them have been the spring/summer and limited edition hand wash scents, so it'll be good to see something new pop up! (Too bad it's not a method pop up store, in front of my house, where I can choose anything I want from method at my whim! Oh wait, I was dreaming again! Argh!)

lustful speculation

Hey fellow lusters, I got a question for you! I realize it's a long shot, and wow has it been a day, so perhaps I'm just delusional, but just on the off chance, I want some advocate speculation. So method just posted on their Facebook page this wonderful shot of their fragrance director, Suzanne, giving a discussion on the process for creating method scents. Awesome! Look at all those reference photos, and the different items sitting on the shelf that she'd used to help her come up with all method's amazing sniff-mmm-ahh's! But wait, what... what is that? There, in the right corner, next to the 7-load bottle of laundry detergent. It kinda looks like some foaming hand wash, but it seems like it's in a really, really big bottle? There's a bottle of waterfall foaming just down the line, on the left, and yeah, I know there is some perspective going on here, but still... it also seems to be "dressed" in their new shrink wrap packaging... hmm.

Am I crazy? What do you think? I'm guessing a) it's just perspective and you need to go get a drink and go to bed early, Nathan; or b) a new kitchen hand wash (those come in big bottles) but in a foaming version (and a new scent); or c) brand new packaging for their dish soap, which lots of people complain you can't just sit on your sink and hit the pump or it'll shoot out all over you (and this bottle type would solve that problem, no? Or just picking it up off the shelf and squirting some on your sponge, you lazy mcDaisy! Ha!) Time will tell, time will tell...

What do you think?

sneak peek - white rosemary, and more!

Why not take a quick moment to welcome method's newest scent to the family, white rosemary! OMG. Does that not sound amazing! And you'll soon be able to pick up white rosemary in all-purpose cleaning spray and dilutable floor + surface cleaner!

And that's not all! Coming to the kitchen hand wash line will be clementine! A lot of people lust this scent, so it should be a perfect fit right next to the lemongrass scent (still my fuh-av-orite ever!) Now I'm just making an educated guess here, but I'd say basil might be on its way out, as lemongrass has received a new bottle (yellow, instead of it's current stainless steel look) and they've added clementine, while basil has not gotten a new look. So I'd stock up on basil while I could, just in case. I've been noticing the kitchen hand wash has not been restocked for a while at Target stores, so I bet this update is the reason!

Along with all of those, method has been, and is continuing to roll out lots and lots more!

Just recently we got red currant limited edition dish soap, wood for good daily clean spray, lavender and clementine floor + surface cleaner, and coming this month we'll also see:

method's new designed for good hand wash line in botanical garden and mimosa sun, and their updated fabric softeners in fresh air, water lily + aloe, and lavender lilac scents!

What will you be picking up? What excites you? Have you seen these new products out on store shelves yet? Let method lust know! You're all so quiet anymore! But I know you're reading, I check my stats, advocates! So speak up! Remember, method is also listening, so your thoughts and comments are appreciated by not only me, but method, too!

green tease!

Tease #3 Looks like method might be getting a bit tired of the zillions of posters on their Facebook page begging, pleading, and praying that Monday's big reveal is the return of aircare (which they obviously need to bring back! Because, uh, zillions of posters on their Facebook page have been begging, pleading, and praying for it!) Today's tease is:

"people against dirty: we're re-introducing something you love and have been asking us for. the big reveal will be on monday, so we're gonna keep you guessing 'til then. clue #3: it's not aircare."

Yeah, rinse and repeat. It's gonna be car care, lusters! Oh, and my favorite comment from the teasers so far: (directed to method) "I bet now you wish it was aircare!" Zing! (Cause of the zillions of... oh, you know!)

+

Tease #2 Today method issued the following tease:

"people against dirty: we're re-introducing something you love and have been asking us for. the big reveal will be on monday, so we're gonna keep you guessing 'til then. clue #2: both Rihanna and this product have ties to Barbados."

What's a famous Barbados tourist destination? None other than the Sea Flower Cave (also known as the Animal Flower Cave.) And what would one of the original scents in the method Vroom car care line be? Why none other than... sea flower! Wow, it'd be great if they brought this scent back, it was amazing (my favorite in the car care line.)

So far, I've still got my betting money down! What do you think? (Other than I need to get a life, I realize that...)

+

Tease #1 Things have been mighty quiet around these here parts, now haven't they? Well, that's all about to change! method made a whole bunch oh' advocates giddy with excitement when they slipped us this naughty little tease today:

"people against dirty: we're re-introducing something you love and have been asking us for. the big reveal will be on monday, so we're gonna keep you guessing 'til then. clue #1: this product first debuted in 2005."

Of course people are begging for it to be aircare (and I'm included in that bunch! In fact, I'm down on my knees this very moment praying to the Green Gods!) But alas, you're ole' method lust buddy and pal here decided I just had to do a little research into this! I mean, for shame on me if I didn't, right? This blog is called method lust, after all, not method eh it's alright, or method "It's me, not you"! (Actually, at this point, it should be called method stalking! Oh, man, I should have thought that up at the very beginning! Ha!)

Guess what I've found out? Aircare - so 2006. Pish posh. Now, now... candles were around even before 2005 (before they became part of the aircare line.) So, it could be candles, but nah, I'm not betting any money on that horse. My strong guess is (drum roll, please!) car care! The method vroom (Target) brand debuted... in 2005! May, 2005 to be exact. Well, possibly April, but let's not split hairs here, ok? So that's my educated guess! method's left me out in the dark on this one, so I'm again just guessing here, but I'd put a whole bunch of money down on this! Like, Vegas style money, baby!

Whatever it may be, looks like we'll all know come Monday! (Only 116 hours or so to go! Let the countdown begin!) Thoughts?

new goodies roundup!

Next time you're in Target, you might wanna make sure to grab a basket, cause method's new goodies are starting to pop up like baby bunnies in the spring time! So I thought now would be a grand ole' time to make sure all you lusters know what's hitting the shelves!

method is debuting the following rad items: hand wash in lemon mint (gel + foaming - limited edition), hibiscus flower (gel + foaming - limited edition), waterfall (foaming), clementine (gel - limited edition), and juicy pear (gel - limited edition.)

additional (non-hand wash items, cause that's a lot of hand wash to keep track of!) include: lemon mint dish soap (limited edition), clementine and cucumber dish soap pouch refills, water lily & aloe laundry detergent (Wholefoods exclusive), fresh air and free + clear laundry detergent refill pouches, orange zest antibac kitchen cleaning spray, orange zest antibac kitchen wipes, clementine all-purpose cleaning spray, and completely reformulated all-purpose spray cleaners in all fragrances (with new bottle packaging), including mint glass cleaner than can now also be used as an all-purpose cleaner (so if you lust mint you can use the glass cleaner to clean your entire house now! - Yes!) Whew! I think that's it!

All of these have now popped up at most of my local Targets. the hand washes are hit or miss at the moment (with the lemon mint and hibiscus flower gel hand washes yet to hit my stores.)

And can I just say without a doubt, the juicy pear hand wash is divine! It totally smells like fresh pear slices! Oh, it's great! method's holiday spiced pear scent is off the charts, but until they bring that back for us lusters (hint, hint method! Holiday 2011?) juicy pear will definitely not disappoint!

What are you most excited for? What goodies will you pick up first?

sneak peek - dish soap

A quick sneak peek shot at the two remaining dish soap scents (ginger yuzu and basil) yet to hit store shelves! Expectations are for them to appear in grandiose style mid-September! But until then, just look and drool! Look, and drool. (Ok, well, your computer might not like the drool, so maybe just look.)

snapshots!

method luster Jason sent in a couple of shots showcasing the newest method products hitting Target shelves (kitchen hand wash in basil and lemongrass, and hand sanitizer in sweet water and sea minerals!) Thanks, Jason!

sneak peek - this n' that

UPDATE Looks like the kitchen hand washes (and hand sanitizers!) are hitting shelves as we speak! method luster Jason let us know he'd picked up the basil hand wash at Target a couple days ago, so I (of course, cause yeah, still, no life) ran to Target this morning, and there they sat all pretty and shiny on the shelves! You'll find the kitchen hand wash in the same aisle with the other method hand washes (not on the method specific aisle.) They have nice little neon green tags to catch advocates (and future advocates!) attention and let them know "No More Stinky Kitchen Hands - eliminates stubborn food odors like garlic + onion". So let method lust know if you find'em, and what you think! I'll have a one man review up shortly!

+

Just a quick shot of some new method products about to hit store shelves very soon (mid-September.) We've got ourselves newly designed hand sanitizers in sea minerals and sweet water, as well as method's new kitchen hand wash line (which helps remove nasty odors, including garlic, onions, fish, oh you get the picture!) in lemongrass (you will lust this, I promise you) and basil (basil will also be appearing in their new dish soap line, as well! - And yes, the kitchen hand wash line bottles are bigger, 18 oz. compared to the usual 12!)

new product lust!

Now that the new products are (well, ok, in some places) starting to hit (Target) store shelves, as you have a chance to pick them up and give'em a try, what do you think? (Wow, that was one big run on sentence, wasn't it?)

I'm talking about anti-bac spearmint and lemon verbena spray cleaner, anti-bac lemon verbena wipes, fresh currant limited edition hand wash, fresh air fabric softener, sweet pea baby detergent, and sea minerals, clementine, and cucumber dish soap.

Throw us a review (you can email me one! And I'll post it here on methodlust!) Compare the new products with their old counterparts (ha ha, get it, counterparts. Oh yeah, I'm good!) Love the new scents/products? Hate the (ok, ok, mom always did say you should never hate something. How about greatly dislike?) the new scents/products? Lust everything! Let method lust know!

dishing the dirt!

method has recently announced their new dish soap and anti-bac line, and the news is BIG! So big in fact, the products will start hitting Target shelves today/this week! First, the new dish soap scents will be clementine, sea minerals, cucumber, and two "natural exclusive fragrances" (what that may mean exactly, I'm not sure. I think these will match up with their new upcoming kitchen hand wash line) in basil (yum!) and ginger yuzu.

In the anti-bacterial line (which states "Kills 99.9% of household germs botanically",) two all purpose spray cleaners in lemon verbena and spearmint (both, wow! Yum!) and all purpose wipes in lemon verbana. The dish soap will stay at $2.99 at Target locations, and the spray cleaner and wipes will also be $2.99. Look for the naturals (basil and ginger yuzu) dish soap to hit stores in September, when I would also place a big bet on the new kitchen hand wash line showing up.

Now for some mixed news. All the old dish soap has been discontinued. No more lavender or pink grapefruit. (I love the lavender, so I'm really disappointed; and I'm totally shocked they canned the pink grapefruit, since people seem to pee their pants over that scent. No really, someone told me once they peed their pants over that scent. You think I'd just make this stuff up? Never!)

The biggest, and possibly controversial news comes in the wipes area. All of their multi-purpose wipes (in go naked, lavender, and pink grapefruit - uhm, I think that's all the scents they come in) are being discontinued, and the new anti-bac wipes will replace these. So, if you want to use all purpose method wipes, you have to use the anti-bacterial variety now. I really, really want everyone's thoughts on this, since even though it's by method (and naturally derived) many people still have big concerns about anti-bacterial products.

So there you go! Now it's your turn! Thoughts, opinions? Rants, raves?

sneak peek - dilutable cleaner!

Check it, check it! One, two three! (In my past life, I was a rapper! Can't you tell? I was born to wrap! I mean, rap!) So, how about a little sneak peek on method's latest and greatest!

Great ready to pick up some method dilutable cleaner in citrus leaf scent! The packaging is the same as what they use for their floor cleaner products, minus the squeeze spray top (this just has a screw on cap.) The back of the bottle says (paraphrasing) "this is for most hard surfaces. Pour in a half bucket, mixing with water. For tough jobs use full strength, rinse immediately. This is not a spray cleaner refill." The scent, which I at first thought was them bringing citron leaf back (a scent previously used in their body wash line) is actually a new method fragrance! Well, sorta new. You know how, even though the lil' bowl blu cleaner says it's eucalyptus + mint; it actually has undertones of beach sage in it (method told me this after asking, I'm not making it up!) Well, this scent reminds me of a combination between citron leaf, and citrus cilantro! It's nice and fresh, just like we want the fragrances in our cleaners to be!

I'm not yet sure what the store date for this product will be (but I bet very soon!) As I receive more information, I'll (of course!) post it here! In the meantime, method lusters, do you think you'll be picking this product up? What would you be using it for? Comment away!

what next?

I did this many months ago (and a FEW of you responded. But since the rest of you are just slackers! I thought I'd give it another go-around! Oh, ok, I'll play nice, I promise! No, no! Of course I don't have my fingers crossed behind me back. Why, ahem, I mean, why would I do that? No, never. Nah. Not me. Uh-uh.) So, method, yes THAT method, wants your help!

Really, my help? You say! Yes, yes they do! They have a question for you! And they're serious! (And if you don't think they read ole' method lust, OH, but you'd be so very, very, with a cherry wrong! Trust me!) Their question comes from their Facebook page:

Now, I KNOW you've got lots of dream method products you'd LUST to see made! So go on, share! Comment away here on method lust! And know, without a doubt, method will read them! (And you never know, the very next method product you see pop up on shelves might just be one you inspired them to make! So don't be shy!)

Here are some suggestions that have been mentioned so far:

+ Fabric spray
+ Dishwasher rinse aid

what next?

method's people against dirty are officially asking "What's the next product method should make?" So let's help them out, with some suggestions!

Our previous set of polls listed some of these as top contenders lusters would love to see coming from method:

+ Fabric refresher spray
+ Pet care products
+ Auto care products

Personally, I'd lust seeing the shaving cream make a return in some form, as well as shampoo and conditioner; all for the body line. And fabric refresher spray has been on many method wishlists for a long time!

So go on already, what are you waiting for, suggest away! method will listen! (They read method lust, I promise you!)
