new suprises!

Photo: (left to right) Fresh currant limited edition dish soap, wood for good daily clean spray, and floor + surface dilutable cleaner in clementine and french lavender

UPDATE Just found the pink grapefruit limited edition dish soap at my local Target! It was not in the method section, but rather in the Target dish soap aisle section. Just an FYI for all you lusters!

+

Oh, child! Have I got nifty news for you! While roaming into my nearby Target today, and of course stalking the method aisles (what else would I do at Target?) What did I stumble upon but some shiny new method friends sitting up on the shelves!

We've gotten ourselves some new wood for good daily clean spray cleaner! It comes in the exact same size spray bottle as method's other surface cleaners! It's a bit pricy at $5.99 right now, and I'm not really sure where it fits product wise in the wood for good scheme of things (as they still have their wood for good cleaner polish, and this spray is not a polish, but more so just a daily cleaner. Hey, I bet that's why method named it daily clean! (Sarcasm, people, sarcasm.) I'll let you know more as I get info. on this new family member!

Next up, apparently along with the just announced return of pink grapefruit (limited edition) comes red fresh currant dish soap, also limited edition (and apparently replacing out the limited edition lemon mint dish soap (should I say limited edition just one more time? Ok!I just did!) Lemon mint dish soap seems to have now gone to method Heaven. So if you lust that scent, you might wanna stock up on some of the dish soap before it's gone! The fresh currant dish soap is $2.99.

And lastly, but not leastly, we have two new floor + surface dilutable cleaners! I believe these will replace out the previous citrus leaf dilutable cleaner (but don't take my word for that. I just know Target has clearanced that product out, so that's where my guess is coming from) and they've replaced it with new french lavender (Yes! They used to have lavender floor cleaner oh so long ago, and I'm so very excited it's back!) and clementine dilutable cleaners! How awesome is that! (And the bottles are cute, too!) These dilutable cleaners are $4.99 for a whole lotta ounces! And remember it's dilutable, so that makes it an even greater deal!)

So to wrap it up, new method products just hitting Target store shelves include:

+ wood for good daily clean surface spray
+ fresh currant (and pink grapefruit, which will be hitting in August) limited edition dish soap
+ and new dilutable floor + surface cleaner in french lavender and clementine

+

Also something to keep in mind, Target appears to be sprinkling method products more than they've done in the past, into specific areas of the store. You of course still have your usual method section, but for example, mine only contains the pink grapefruit dish cubes, but Target still carries the free + clear dish cubes, only now they're in the dish cube section with other brands. Same goes for the dish soap, some in the method section, and now some in the dish soap section of the store (same with hand wash, laundry detergent, etc.) So if you think something you lust is missing from the method area of your local Target, be sure to check that particular area of the cleaning aisles to see if it's been moved there, before you get frustrated!

So, who's gonna be picking up all the new goodies? What will you be buying?

headin' out

Target has placed a couple more method items on the sad clearance list. I've noticed recently the pink grapefruit gel hand wash refill pouches have been clearanced, and method lust reader Jamison has let me know he saw the dilutable cleaner on clearance as well.

method is moving a bunch of new products onto Target's store shelves this month. But in true Target fashion, it seems that instead of adding to the method line in their stores, anytime method debuts a new product Target has to clearance one out to free up the shelf space. Which always irritates me to no end. But alas, what can you do?

So a quick run down on Target's method clearance list:

+ tub + tile bathroom cleaner (replaced with the new anti-bac bathroom spearmint cleaner? Not sure.)
+ dilutable cleaner
+ pink grapefruit gel hand wash refill
+ go naked gel hand wash
+ refresh mint foaming and gel hand wash (discontinued)
+ waterflower foaming and gel hand wash (discontinued)
+ creamy hand wash in coconut + honey and cucumber + aloe
+ all wipes in pouch packaging (go naked, lavender, and pink grapefruit - discontinued and replaced with the new anti-bac lemon verbena wipes)
+ dish soap in lavender and pink grapefruit scents (discontinued and replaced with the new dish soap line)
+ the peony 25-load laundry detergent (definitely not discontinued)
+ and I've also noticed Target doesn't seem to be carrying the rice milk + mallow baby line any longer. The baby products, and room for them are completely missing from the store shelves. Perhaps these are only being carried at Babies R' Us now?)

Whew! And I think that's it. If I didn't write discontinued next to the item, I'm not sure if it's just been clearanced by Target, or discontinued by method (I'm gonna ask method! Or hey, method, if you're reading this, feel free to leave a comment!) Many of these items have been replaced with new products (the dish soaps, new limited edition hand washes, waterfall scent now being placed in the permanent hand wash line, etc.) so for a lot of this stuff it's sorta an "upgrade/swap-out". Just a little 411 for ya!

dilutable danny

Danny Seo has a new post up over on his blog, Daily Danny, praising method's wonderful new dilutable cleaner!

"Lately I’ve been obsessed—of all things—Kool-Aid. Yes, the sugary powdered drink you just add water to make pitchers and pitchers of fruity punch. And why not? It’s Summer and it’s something I remember growing up drinking but haven’t had in least 20 years. So, cheers to Kool-Aid and my red-stained lips and tongue.

So, it’s no surprise that I’m equally as enthusiastic for Method’s new Dilutable Cleaner, a super-concentrated all-purpose cleaner that you—wait for it—just add water to to clean all over the house. With thousands of square feet of floors in my house—faux bois stamped ceramic, recycled wood floors, hand poured stone—-I need a big bucket and a handy mop once in a while to clean-up all the built up dirt and debris that has collected. This sounds like the perfect eco solution to use on a rainy day when I’m stuck inside with nothing to but clean and enjoy a cool glass of Kool-Aid. Spiked. But with organic vodka."

Yay! You know, I find this product interesting. method used to carry another similar dilutable product (since most people seem to be using this for floor care), and it came in a big bottle scented in french lavender and rosemary mint. I still have a couple bottles! Then they discontinued that item, and brought out the prediluted version for wood and all-surface floor care. And now the dilutable is back (sorta!)

Honestly, I'm a tad too lazy for the whole bucket and omop thing. That's why I lust me some squeeze and go. AND I think I've found a solution to my bucket problem (if I haven't, let's all just pretend I have, and keep me happy and oblivious, ok?) I take an old lemon ginger "all-floor-one" bottle that I've used up, and I wash it out; then I refill it with half dilutable cleaner, half water. Are those the exact measures? Eh, I'm not sure. But hey, it works for me. Then I have the ease of a squeeze and go bottle, and the inexpensive price of a dilutable cleaner! Win, win!

Ok... maybe I'll go read those exact measurements now... Oh bottle? Where are you bottle? There you are, my little bottle! Ohh, who's so limey and green! Oh yes, you are! Yes yes, you are. You little limey green thing you!

clean sweeps

+ method's new citrus leaf dilutable cleaner is starting to pop up at Target stores! It will be stocked with the floorcare (well, at least at my Target!) With an insanely great price of only $2.99!

+ There are some new polls up! Word, that took forever! This time around it's all scents, scents, scents! (And your favorite method line!) Go at it, vote! It's your democratic duty! (That and, I just don't want to end up with empty polls!)

sneak peek - dilutable cleaner!

Check it, check it! One, two three! (In my past life, I was a rapper! Can't you tell? I was born to wrap! I mean, rap!) So, how about a little sneak peek on method's latest and greatest!

Great ready to pick up some method dilutable cleaner in citrus leaf scent! The packaging is the same as what they use for their floor cleaner products, minus the squeeze spray top (this just has a screw on cap.) The back of the bottle says (paraphrasing) "this is for most hard surfaces. Pour in a half bucket, mixing with water. For tough jobs use full strength, rinse immediately. This is not a spray cleaner refill." The scent, which I at first thought was them bringing citron leaf back (a scent previously used in their body wash line) is actually a new method fragrance! Well, sorta new. You know how, even though the lil' bowl blu cleaner says it's eucalyptus + mint; it actually has undertones of beach sage in it (method told me this after asking, I'm not making it up!) Well, this scent reminds me of a combination between citron leaf, and citrus cilantro! It's nice and fresh, just like we want the fragrances in our cleaners to be!

I'm not yet sure what the store date for this product will be (but I bet very soon!) As I receive more information, I'll (of course!) post it here! In the meantime, method lusters, do you think you'll be picking this product up? What would you be using it for? Comment away!
