clean sweeps
UPDATE + Hey, does anyone know if Target has pulled the holiday candles, or did they finally hit 75% off and scream out the door? I stopped by a local Target today, and their remaining candles (and they had quit a few) were history. Two lonely spiced pear sprays just sat together, huddled for warmth (and the longing desire to be purchased! I so almost obliged them, but realized my method vault is sorta bursting at the moment with spiced pear lust! So I had to be good.) I've seen this in the past with the bloq line (unless I'm simply delirious) where they hit a certain price point, and before they all sold out, got pulled. I take it so that they'll end up in some discount store like Big Lots (or in bloq's case, Goodwill!) So I wonder if we'll be seeing method holiday candles at Goodwill, or somewhere similar, soon? Or did everyone else swipe them up at 75% off and I simply missed out? Last I saw late last week they were still $3.98 each. Let me know if you, well, know!
+ I keep failing to mention this, and just in case you've missed it, method home now has a search feature (in the upper right corner!) And that'll make hunting out things SO much easier on their site! Go, try it out, now! No, not later, now! Work? Who needs to do work? You, search, now! For fig! Why fig? Cause fig rocks! And it not only brings up products, but articles and people, too! Cause people are figs, too! No, wait, I mean figs are people, too! Uhm, well, that can't be right... People lust figs, too! There, that's right. Well, moreso.

method home
Speaking of deals (see below) I bet many of us forget a favorite spot, method's own online store at method home! (Let's forget the ouch inducing shipping fees for the time being...)There are lots of discontinued finds still floating about on their site, ready to be snapped up! Are you longing for any of these items, once so readily willing to leap into your arms for a night out on the town; now no longer to be seen, having moved on to someone else? Oh whoa, sorry, I mean, are you missing any of these products? Well, they've been found! How's this for a sampling?
Ginger yuzu and eucalyptus + mint gel and foaming hand wash, fig pill refills, fresh lychee, beach sage, and eucalyptus + mint aroma ring refills; beach sage pill refills and candles, cut grass aroma sticks, the entire bloq body line (wha?!), iconic dish soap bottle in french lavender, green tea + aloe and sweet water hand sanitizer, wet dry sheets in nectarine blossom, lavender + juniper, and water lily + aloe; and that's just what I've found!
So head on over and pick up some lost lusts! (Now who wants to do some donatin' to ole' method lust, so I can pick up some fig pill refills! Ohhh, man! I know, I'm shameless (ahem, donate button located on right side bar.)
Enjoy!

phasin' out, for the new in
A few people have asked if the current method laundry care line (featuring the fresh air, water lily + aloe, and free + clear detergents and softeners; along with the lavender + juniper, nectarine blossom, water lily + aloe, etc. (there are a few more scents in the sheets) wet dry sheets) are being discontinued, to be replaced with the new squeaky green laundry line (sweet water, go naked, and rice milk + mallow baby), or simply complimenting the laundry line.I've gotten official word that the current line will be phased out, over time, as advocates pick up on the new line. I personally still feel the new line gives people very few choices in scents, compared to the previous line, but I'll wait and see! I've also yet to see the new squeaky green line hit my Target (though apparently it has hit some.) So be on the lookout for the new line, and pick up the old while you still can, at Target and on method home.
(PS - The pic above features the HSN version of this line, which contained a laundry tote. Unfortunately this package set is no longer available on HSN. But the detergent and wet dry sheets are available at your local Target, and method home!)

baby be mine!
new method luster Netta sent me in this glowing review for the new squeaky green baby rice milk + mallow personal care line:"It's been a month and 3 days that I have been a method advocate and I am very proud of myself. I have been trying as many products as I can from the company. I went to a baby shower last weekend and since I have changed my cleaning habits, I wanted to give something that was friendly for the environment, the baby, the home, and the parents. I went through your blog for some ideas and came across one that was giving away a baby prize which was the baby line, the baby detergent, and the squeeky green book and thought that was the perfect gift. Last week I went to Target and purchased the baby line, the sqeeky green book, and I had to order the detergent online because it was not available in the store. Needless to say I picked up and extra baby lotion and baby wash (don't remember the name) and tried it myself and I am in lust. I love the lotion and that smell is so soothing and to die for and the bath wash is the best, the smell is so calming and soothing.
My friend that had the baby shower called me yesterday and told me that she just got around to opening the gift that I gave her and that she tried the lotion because she had never saw it before and she loves it. She likes the baby laundry detergent (fyi...I use the baby laundry detergent in place of my woolite for my delicate clothes when I do laundry and it is the best). She said that she also started reading the book and has been making changes around her home so that her baby can be in a healthy environment.
Kudos to Method, they have done it again. By the way when I run out of baby stuff I am going to restock. I have been using the almond flower body wash, soap, and hand soap in my bathroom but the baby line is giving it a run for the money. I hope that Method does not discontinue this line it is wonderful."

site tips
A quick method home site tip! I love the cool drop down menu system they have on the new site, and one bonus feature is the "special" tab, which lists limited edition items, online exclusive, refill and swag (non-cleaning products). If you click on the online exclusive tab, this will show you all the items that method has recently discontinued in retail stores, but are still available on their site, until quantities run out! That way you'll easily know which products you should stash up on before they're gone! Now, this isn't scientific (I haven't been TOLD this is what the online exclusive tab is for) but if you click it, you'll notice all products highlighted have "left the building", so to speak. So I'm stickin' with my hypothesis! (Did I just use the word hypothesis? Wow! I am smart!)
