what's your idea?

...And my latest empty candle bowl idea? A cat's food dish! This is Bruiser (he's really sweet, I promise. His name is all talk, no action.) A couple of weeks ago his sister had to be put to sleep due to kidney failure (they're both 16 years old.) Well, he's sort of finally caught on that she's not coming home, and he's not doing that well at the moment; so I decided to cheer him up a little with some wet cat food (they didn't get this often, so it's a treat!) And I went to open the cabinet, and right there staring at me were my small stack of empty candle bowls. Ding ding! Wet cat food dish.

He'll be fine after a while. (I've read that pets can mourn anywhere from 2 to 6 weeks, sometimes longer.)

In more cheerful news, what was the latest thing you've done with an empty method candle bowl? Let us know! (See, method really is pet friendly!)

I've been using empty candle dishes for cotton balls and q-tips. Using it as a cat dish is a great idea. I just re-did my bathroom and was looking for a cute little water bowl for my cat, the candle holder is a great idea (I'm gunna steal it from you if you don't mind). I also use the dishes from Method (and other candles) to hold Crystal Light drink packets and random change.

My sympathies on your loss; that's always hard. The cat dish idea is a great one, I may try that when mine is burned away.

In the same vein, I've found that Method wipes are terrific for cleaning up hairballs...

I can totally see those being used as candy or dip bowls.

Right now mine is being used as a bowl to throw my pocket change in. =)

I will be taking them to college and using them as bowls when i go back.

The glass bowls, I'd just throw into recycling. However, the ceramic candle holders (of which I have three), I have set out at holidays or even non-holiday times, filled with nuts, M&M's, Malted Milk candy easter eggs, etc etc., you get the idea.
