snuffed out

Let's all take a moment here to wipe our (soon to be) weepy eyes. Looks like pomegranate tea and citrus cilantro are on their way out. While rummaging around Target today (and really, I was rummaging! Half way through my trip I was like "WHAT am I even here for?!" I really couldn't figure out my answer, so I just continued rummaging...) I found the method aircare section, cause you know, I just happen to FIND it every time I head into Target. And I noticed big red "clearance" tags on the pomegranate tea and citrus cilantro candles. While the remainder of the aircare line in those two scents was still at full price, I have a feeling it's only a matter of time before they head to method heaven, too!

We know beach sage is making it's spring limited edition return this year; so I'm betting another scent is coming along to join in on the fun! Hopefully it'll be something brand spanking new! (Cross your fingers!) As soon as I find out more, I'll OF course, let you all know! And until then, you better start stocking up on these two great scents! I'm hoping they come back in some form or another down the line (especially pomegranate tea, which is amazing! It was a fall edition scent, so perhaps it'll return again this fall? And yes, I know we have many citrus cilantro lusters, as well! Not really being one myself, but I'm holding up the lit lighter of method citrus cilantro lovers high in the sky to recognize you all out there! Yeah, that made no sense, no one ever said I could actually write, ok?)

I don't understand why Method has to get rid of a good scent. Honestly, I am not a huge fan of the other Method aircare scents. They mowed Fresh Cut Grass which I was in love with and now Pomegranate Tea and Citrus Cilantro are going to be gone soon. Sad days. I just shed a tear.

I totally understand! Unfortunately, you've been in love with all the limited edition scents. Fresh cut grass, pomegranate tea, citrus cilantro, fresh lychee, and beach sage have all been limited edition scents. Citrus cilantro surprisingly came back (and I thought was going to be a permanent part of the line) but apparently I was wrong on that one. Usually they'll come back though. HEY! Do you want some cut grass candles to method marketplace for the dish cubes? I have some of those at my local Big Lots! Or have you stocked up? Let me know!

I love lavender + lemongrass. But for the others, eh. I was really hoping Pomegranate tea would be here to stay. That scent is just great! Ah well... here's to hoping the second scent is something new, that rocks!

Citrus cilantro just recently started growing on me because everytime I go to Target to replenish my aircare items that is usually the only scent that is left over. I guess that a lot of people don't like it but I got used to the plug-ins and aroma spray. So sad to see it go but look forward to the new scents.

I figured something was up with Pomegranate Tea, because all 3 of my local Targets have been out of the pill refills in that scent since Xmas. Too bad. It's better than any of their regular scents.

Citrus Cilantro did not grow on me. People I know who won't eat cilantro always say it tastes like soap. I disagree, however Method's cilantro aircare smelled exactly like strong soap to me. I never detected the citrus.

On the bright side, my local Lowe's Hardware (west coast) just introduced its own Method section. Hooray, I can finally buy Method fabric softener again. Target discontinued it entirely last summer. So now I have to shop 4 different places to find all the Method products I like: Target, Lowe's, Whole Foods (love that ginger yuzu, hate that Whole Foods mark-up) and Method's online store (ever pricier!).

Definitely looking forward to the return of Beach Sage...

The clearance hasnt hit all the targets yet. I was at target yesturday and the candles were marked down, then I went to another one today and they wern't marked down yet. Wierd.

Each Target maintains it's own markdown time period. (Which is just SO weird to me!) So that's why you might find them on clearance at one, and not even at another. In fact, Target recently clearanced out a line of their own candles; and every Target around me did this, EXCEPT for one. Not only does this one store still have the discontinued candle line, but they've added it into their new candle lineup. Odd, indeed.

Aw man, I didn't even see the "Special Edition" on our citrus cilantro spray bottle.

No wonder we haven't seen it for months. :-(
