clean sweeps

+ UPDATED Seems the method limited edition waterfall scented hand wash might not be so limited anymore. I took a stroll into my local Target today, and found two bottles of the waterfall hand wash on the shelf, except one of these bottles did not have limited edition written across it (which is what happened to their mandarin mango hand wash!) So while method hasn't made a formal announcement, it looks like waterfall might is now a regular hand wash scent that will stick around!

+ There seems to be some confusion about this next item, but a method advocate recently let me know she saw the tub + tile cleaner on clearance at Target a few weeks ago. I asked method, and they said that it was indeed not going away, but to enjoy the sale! So I figured there must have been some confusion, and it was just a sale price. But then I ran into a Target on my return home from vacation, and indeed, they did have the tub + tile on clearance! At the same time, my local Targets have not put it on clearance, but you know how all Targets work independently of one another. So perhaps only select Targets will now carry the tub + tile, method is revamping it in some manner, or hey, who just knows? My guess is the product is sticking around, but Target has discontinued carrying it. That's not official yet, but I'll keep you updated as I know more info!

+ Also on clearance at Target is method's new 25 load peony blossom laundry detergent. Looks like Target will probably only carry the 50 load bottles down the line, but right now they do still carry the 25 load fresh air bottle. So pick yourself up some clearance peony blossom and tub + tile while you can get the deals!

Did method ever give a good excuse for why they got rid of their air care line? (Yes, I'm still mourning these products.) Because I haven't found a good natural substitute, I've been using B&BWs wallflowers. Also, do you know why method doesn't offer their new soap scents in the foaming version (only the old bland scents)? I'm not a fan of the gel, so I don't really purchase their soaps anymore...but I would if they were in the foaming. Sorry, this is me kinda venting...method makes me sad now...all my favorites are gone!

I know Karin, I feel you about the aircare line. You know what, the video with Eric a couple of posts down, watch that. About mid-point (or a tad earlier?) he answers that question. And I gotta say, it's sorta a lame answer (sorry, Eric!) It's something to the effect of a) everyone else caught up to method aircare wise, so they were going to have to invest money into the product to one up their competition again (uh, yeah. This has not happened. What is he talking about?!) and b) it wasn't making them a lot of money. So I'm going with the real reason was b. (which surprises me, cause I thought the stuff was a tad pricey! LOL)

I'm going to check for that 25 load Peony Blossom laundry soap at the local Target. Clearance + the $2 off coupon from Method = Happy Camper. :)

I stocked up yesterday at Target--the large bottles of detergent are $4 off, making them an oh-so-fab $10.99! I'm not a fan of peony blossom so this keeps me happy. And I maintain that in most newer washers, you can (and totally should) use less than the 4 recommended pumps of detergent. I had been using 2 pumps in the washer in my old house, but I bought a new Fisher & Paykel EcoSmart washer and dryer two days ago and after some experimenting (I had a lot of laundry to do, haha), I found that my new washer is so efficient that I can get away with using just ONE pump of detergent! That comes out to $10.99 for 200 loads of beautiful looking (and smelling) laundry? What a steal! Seriously, I think the only way to get a better deal on your detergent is to rob someone.

Speaking of Target, Method, have you even SEEN the aircare aisle at Target lately? It's gross. You're so missed. Come back. :(

It's all Glade, Glade, Glade, even nastier Renuzit, oh and then Glade, Glade, Febreze, and Glade. SO sad. I just look longingly down that aisle and move on now...

How did you get $4. off detergent!? Target has it on a $4. off sale? IF so, that rocks!

Yeah, I don't know if it's all Target stores or how long it's going to be at the special price, but it's such a bargain. But at the rate I (don't) use detergent, I know when I'll be able to start cracking into my stash.
