method of buying

What do you think of method's new buying, well, method, on their updated website? Like it? Loathe it? Don't really feel anything towards it? (I think they make medication for that kind of thing, ya know?) What do YOU think?.. I mean about this new storefront for method; not what you're going to have to eat tonight... or wear tomorrow (I'd suggest the red, by the way. Always a great choice! Trust me.)

The site is a little sloppy because you cannot view a whole line at once. Like I wanted to see all the kids stuff on once screen and then see options. This new site is gorgeous, don't get me wrong, but the previous site was easier to navigate.

thanks for your post. i work at method (hence lowercasing everything) and headed up the redesign of this site. just want to let you know that this is really the soft launch of the new site. there's actually a bunch of new features we're adding on top of this first phase launch. expect great things within a few weeks - it'll really act like a totally different site than even what you're seeing now. stay tuned!

i am glad to hear that method's new website is a work in progress. i like the new style, and think being able to organize items by color as well as room or surface is nifty. but, it has issues, and i am pleased to hear they will be resolved shortly. my one real sorrow is it is heavily flash based, which makes it impossible to view on my smartphone and ipod touch. oh, well. i didn't actually do that much anyway.

I too am not to thrilled about the heavy reliance on flash. Perhaps an option for a html based low-flash site would be nice? The site was much easier to navigate before than it is now, that's for sure. I enjoyed the ease of choosing a product type, and then seeing my fragrance options all there without having to hover-jockey to get the site to recognize what I'm trying to click.

One thing that might be SUPER awesome would be inclusion of a retirement section for products that are being phased out but still are in stock. This would let us know if we should be stocking up on a fragrance we particularly love, and help us not miss the chance to try something before it's too late.
